Using a precisely defined genetic model of self-antigen driven B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling (one of key characteristics of lymphomas), the study provided evidence that BCR internalization is essential for activation of oncogenic BCR signal and that the process of BCR internalization could be therapeutically targeted. This study thus provides basic information about critical lymphoma biology and opens new therapeutic opportunities using already approved drugs.
